Yellow noise is based on the previous work “Ovals”.
In the summer of 2019 I discovered that butterflies were attracted to a small yellow painting (part of the serie “Ovals”) which I had at the time hanging in the living room. The butterflies were not only flying towards the painting, but they were actually licking the black dots!
I was so fascinated by this that I decided to do a bigger version of this painting, hoping that butterflies also would come and lick the dots. When I finished the painting the butterfly season was already over so I haven’t gotten the chance to prove if “Yellow noise” is also attracting butterflies. During the process of painting, I did had to fight with a lot of flies and small bugs what were as well attracted to the combination of color…
