Three works in B flat

It is not the end of the day yet, but evening is already here. I am sitting on the park bench, looking at the frozen waterfall, at the people walking in the snow and the leafless trees. There is an indescribable bluish light surrounding everything. Dark yet luminous, the cold air is sneaking through the clothes, and the brightness of the snow is making my eyes tired.
An unexplainable feeling of fulfillment is followed by a strange sadness, but there is no resistance to it. Peacefully surrendered, things just sort of happen. I am looking at it all through the bluish light, and the moment becomes a memory the instant I acknowledge it.

All pieces revolve around B flat, and seek to explore a “blueish” sonority that is inspired on the winter light in Oslo. I used recordings from my sound installation “A line sounds”, a wooden organ pipe from a colleague, a recorder (flute) and my own voice.
