2020/2022
In 2020 my partner bought a small loop pedal that we installed in the living room along with a microphone. We played around with it and recorded these spontaneous sessions on tape that we named “loop experiences”. Improvising with the loop, exploring textures and harmonies, became a habit and the main hobby during the pandemic. The pieces created in this framework explored a variety of atmospheres centred around the voice as the main instrument, and looping and improvising as tools for composition. “Loop Atmospheres” is a selection of 15 of these sound experiments recorded between 2020 and 2022, a time characterised by isolation and introspection.
